EMAIL ALERTS

Use what you have before it resets

Choose email, Telegram, or browser push. Email covers all four moments; banked grants are email only.

What triggers an email

PossibleA public post suggests a reset. The alert includes the source and any reply context needed to understand it.
AnnouncedAn official post names a reset time or window.
ConfirmedA public completion announcement confirms that the usage reset happened.
BankedOpenAI announces a reset credit that can be saved and redeemed later.

No marketing or alerts for routine movement in a forecast. Banked-credit expiry notices are not in service.

Repeated sightings of the same announcement do not create duplicate alerts. A stronger announced or confirmed alert replaces a pending possible-reset alert for the same reset.

The alerts describe public announcements. Check your account’s Usage page for your available allowance.

How delivery works

An alert is only written from a check that finished. A failed or half-done check sends nothing.

If a time, a landing or a confirmation comes in for the same reset, the waiting likely email is dropped. We check once more right before sending.

If our email provider’s daily limit is hit, the alert waits until just after their midnight. Likely, scheduled, rollout, and confirmation alerts more than six hours old are not sent late.

What an email looks like

Every alert carries the reset status, the captured source post, its posting time, and a link to the evidence. Times use your saved time zone when available.

When the quoted post is a reply, the email also shows the post it answered.

Every email uses the same layout.

For example, a scheduled alert has the subject line “Codex reset scheduled for Sunday 9:30 PM”, and its first line repeats that time in your own zone.

How much warning you get

Notice depends on what the public source says. An announced reset carries the time or day stated by the source. A possible-reset alert states the uncertainty; it does not guarantee a reset.

Every forecast we publish is frozen, then checked against what happened once its window closes. The scored record runs 149 days to . Of the 48-hour windows measured since , 32% held a reset. Scores for the closed windows are on the track record page.

What a correction does

A correction happens when the post behind an alert is deleted, a later post takes it back, or the time changes.

We don’t send a correction email. We fix the record, keep both the old and new wording, and list every change on the history page.

"Common questions". (Same heading on the limits and banked pages.)

How much notice does an alert give me?

Notice depends on the source announcement. A reset may be announced ahead of time or confirmed after it happens.

Will you email me about anything else?

No. Four moments and nothing else: possible, announced, confirmed, banked. No marketing, no product news, no digest.

What happens to my address if I unsubscribe?

The email stops. We keep a note of the address so we never mail it again by mistake.
